Supers are magic. Magic is genetic. See: Incredibles, Ratatouille, Turning Red. That doesn't mean that every child of a "magic" parent will have magic -- hence Onward -- just like every child of a person with blonde hair doesn't necessarily have blonde hair. Magic can be fueled by belief, but Pixar doesn't support that. Specifically, Jack Jack. You could argue that a baby "believes" that they're a demon or that their imagination is so pure and unfettered that whatever they can dream up happens. But Jack Jack certainly doesn't believe it with his "heart's fire". Regardless, Boo's father being a super means she is genetically predisposed to magic, and the idea of the door being her instrument because she believes them to be magical is solid. You really should have touched on the idea of Boo's father being a super.

something you----okay----EVERYONE gets wrong about HP is after book 4....harry is basically immortal so long as voldemort is alive. having another eater cast avada kedavra at harry would NOT have worked, because voldemort STILL tethers harry to life. it's not just that voldemort cannot harm him....he cannot be killed whilst his blood runs through voldemort's veins, tethering him to life.

I don’t think they would’ve found the locket in Regulus’ room, as Kreacher already was working to destroy it for years at that point and would’ve had it close by. I believe they’d in the end ask him, and he would tell the story, thus repairing the relationship between him and Sirius. I thought that sounded nice.

I think belief explains a lot more about the Pixarverse than just magic
